Primed® began as a metal-working company named Wiesmann & Co. KG in 1946. In 1951, it gradually shifted its focus to plastics production, which was an emerging field at the time. After a period of nationalization and membership in a consortium, the company also developed various medical products.

Following German reunification in 1992, the company returned to private family ownership and was renamed Primed® Halberstadt Medizintechnik GmbH. Since then, it has been dedicated to producing high-quality medical devices.

Today, Primed® operates several production sites in Germany and abroad, offering a portfolio of around 2,000 premium medical products, which are exported to over 60 countries around the world. The company is certified according to EN ISO 13485:2016 for medical device quality management and DIN EN ISO 50001:2018 for energy management, ensuring high standards in both product safety and sustainability.
